Chicago summary

Chicago is one of my all time favorite cities. It has great shopping, amazing food, incredible views, and so much more. I have only been in the spring / summer time before and I definitely recommend going then. This trip was nothing short of wonderful, but Chicago has more to offer during the summer. During warmer days, there are tons of free concerts and events going on around the city. Navy Pier and all the parks are more fun. The restaurants and cafes also have their outdoor seating open during the spring and summer. Lastly, you can go on an awesome boat tour along the river to see the beautiful skyline.

So what did we do in Chicago? We ate, we shopped, and we walked around and explored the city. What more can you ask for?

Thursday night: Room service and sleep

Friday: Shopping, lunch, sightseeing, shopping, dinner, drinks

Saturday: Breakfast, sightseeing, lunch, sightseeing, shopping, dinner, drinks

Sunday: Breakfast, sightseeing, lunch, airport

Sweet Green Chicago

On our first day in Chicago, we had lunch at Sweet Green and oh my. This place was like stepping into lunch heaven. You could either order from a set menu, or you could create your own salad by picking your type of greens and toppings. I picked my own which consisted of: arugula and spinach, warm chick peas, tomato, feta cheese, avocado, chicken, and pesto vinaigrette. They toss it for you and voila! So quick, so fresh, and so delicious. The juices were also fresh and yummy. The atmosphere of this place was great. I highly recommend this place. Can this come to Atlanta ASAP?!

Selfie overload

I really wish I was back at The James Chicago, what a wonderful stay we had. The location was perfect, we were in the heart of Chicago. The staff at the hotel were so kind and helpful with everything from restaurant recommendations to sightseeing options. I have nothing but good things to say about this place! HUGS

Atlanta to Chicago

What an incredible weekend trip we had! I am so happy, but it is not as fun being back in reality this week with exams and essays.

We flew with American Airlines, which I have not done in years. On the way to Chicago, I was super impressed as the airplane was new and the movies were free! On the way home we got an old plane without screens so it was not as fun.

I'll be posting more pictures and tips from Chicago during the week so be on the look out. HUGS

Personal phone snapshots from summer 2016

I wanted to share some more personal and "unfiltered" images with you. Most of these are from Tove's phone and some are from mine. The person behind all of the pictures is my favorite person Tove <3

Having the best drink I have ever had, hands down. We were at a restaurant in Malmo. It was drink with violet in it (YUM)!! Violet, licorice, and can polkadot (no english translation?!) are my all time favorite ice cream flavors and this drink tasted like my beloved violet ice cream.

On the ferry to Rab island, Croatia / Jamie Oliver's restaurant Barbecoa in London / Shopping with Tove in London / Eating my favorite soup at one of my favorite restaurant in Croatia

Summer Throwback from Tove's phone 2016 104.jpg

Tove is obviously someone I admire and adore, if you have not picked up on that already. She is a spinning instructor at Nordic Wellness so if you are ever in Malmo and want a great workout, make sure to schedule a class with her. Here we are sweaty and happy after her class.

Some snaps from London, when it finally stopped raining!

How can a place be this beautiful? Otok Rab friends!

I feel bad for everyone who does not have this girl in their lives. She is the best thing ever. Never a dull moment with her. I miss her like crazy but I am thankful for the technology we have today <3

Lucky to have spent all of my childhood summers here <3

<3

The live image to this photo is hilarious, so much love for this one <3 / Happy as can be at my favorite place, Rab island

If you ever go to Croatia, go to Rab Island.

The island is small and is easy to navigate around yet it has an incredible lot to offer. There are cliff beaches, fine sand beaches, stone sand beaches, and regular sand beaches. It is still not crazy touristy so the restaurants there are amazing and authentic. Food tastes better than anywhere else, everything has so much flavor, most of it is home grown, and the fish are caught at night. The old town is cozy and fun to walk around in. The nature is beyond beautiful. It is also a very cheap place to go visit (a scoop of ice cream is no more than a dollar!!). There are plenty of day trips offered by boat from Rab. Rab island is only a 3.5 hour trip from Croatia's capital Zagreb (ferry ride and drive included in this time). Since Zagreb is a good place to fly in to (and then rent a car to drive to Rab), you can also explore the beautiful capital while visitng.

Huge thanks to Tove for putting up with me blogging and taking some pictures, and for being my best friend. She turned 23 March 2 and I did not do a happy birthday post for her, so thank you for being you bestie! Älskar dig massor <3

Also, big thanks for reading this post, I hope you all enjoyed. HUGS

Eight countries, seventeen cities, one year. I am so thankful to have traveled as much as I did last year. From spending time with my best friend, to traveling with my grandmother <3, to shopping and strolling through Denmark with my godmother, to spending Christmas with my family and my cousins, to going to a wedding, to going on a relaxing trip with my boyfriend, to spending my birthday with my favorite people, to having a girls trip with my mom, and everything there in between. I truly hope 2017 will be filled with as many fun trips and time spent with my loved ones. Thank you to everyone who made 2016 special <3

My beautiful home town

The city I grew up in is so pretty. The sunsets are always incredible. It was 19 degrees Fahrenheit out when I went on my walk, but absolutely breathtakingly beautiful. I wish the pictures could even do it somewhat justice. I felt so alive just enjoying this view. It is important to remember to just breathe and appreciate every once in a while.

St. Jakobs Stenugnsbageri Malmö Saluhall

Wednesday last week I started my day by going to Tove's cycle class at 7am. She is the best instructor ever so if you live in Malmö she teaches at Nordic Wellness at Emporia and Fair Play. After the cycle class we had a cozy breakfast at the new market in Malmö. We then went to another full body workout class (?!) and I survived, wihoo. The food here was not the best, and very overpriced, but the environment was super cozy. HUGS
