Personal phone snapshots from summer 2016

I wanted to share some more personal and "unfiltered" images with you. Most of these are from Tove's phone and some are from mine. The person behind all of the pictures is my favorite person Tove <3

Having the best drink I have ever had, hands down. We were at a restaurant in Malmo. It was drink with violet in it (YUM)!! Violet, licorice, and can polkadot (no english translation?!) are my all time favorite ice cream flavors and this drink tasted like my beloved violet ice cream.

Summer Throwback from Tove's phone 2016 104.jpg

Tove is obviously someone I admire and adore, if you have not picked up on that already. She is a spinning instructor at Nordic Wellness so if you are ever in Malmo and want a great workout, make sure to schedule a class with her. Here we are sweaty and happy after her class.

Some snaps from London, when it finally stopped raining!

How can a place be this beautiful? Otok Rab friends!

I feel bad for everyone who does not have this girl in their lives. She is the best thing ever. Never a dull moment with her. I miss her like crazy but I am thankful for the technology we have today <3

Lucky to have spent all of my childhood summers here <3

The live image to this photo is hilarious, so much love for this one <3 / Happy as can be at my favorite place, Rab island

If you ever go to Croatia, go to Rab Island.

The island is small and is easy to navigate around yet it has an incredible lot to offer. There are cliff beaches, fine sand beaches, stone sand beaches, and regular sand beaches. It is still not crazy touristy so the restaurants there are amazing and authentic. Food tastes better than anywhere else, everything has so much flavor, most of it is home grown, and the fish are caught at night. The old town is cozy and fun to walk around in. The nature is beyond beautiful. It is also a very cheap place to go visit (a scoop of ice cream is no more than a dollar!!). There are plenty of day trips offered by boat from Rab. Rab island is only a 3.5 hour trip from Croatia's capital Zagreb (ferry ride and drive included in this time). Since Zagreb is a good place to fly in to (and then rent a car to drive to Rab), you can also explore the beautiful capital while visitng.

Huge thanks to Tove for putting up with me blogging and taking some pictures, and for being my best friend. She turned 23 March 2 and I did not do a happy birthday post for her, so thank you for being you bestie! Älskar dig massor <3

Also, big thanks for reading this post, I hope you all enjoyed. HUGS

Good Morning Sunshine

I have a slight obsession with mugs and I am very picky. The bigger the mug, the better, hehe.

Anyways, to something more serious... Lately I have been feeling very uninspired as I am sure many of you know. I do not why, and it is that uncertainty that makes it so frustrating. It might be the time of the year it is, February. Maybe it is due to the fact that I am currently in the hardest semester of my college career. It might be the fact that I do not know when I will be able to travel again soon other than a weekend I have booked in March. Maybe it is the constant change of weather (we have sunshine and 75 degrees one day and the next day it is freezing and then all of a sudden it is rainy). It might be the fact that working weekends and studying is taking a toll on me when everyone else is hanging out and having fun. Who knows what it is but I need to find a way to snap out of it soon.

If you guys have tips about what you like to read about, or what you want to see more of, please let me know. Anything and everything is appreciated. HUGS

This is how most of my days look, spent behind the computer but in different environments. I have been studying so much lately as I have two exams this week and had a quiz today and have one tomorrow, not fun. Today when I got to my first class there was a note on the door saying class cancelled which drove me crazy. I have never had a professor who doesn't email the students if a class has had to be cancelled. I thought that was extremely rude of him. Internet is not working at the school as it should be so I have been running around everywhere in between my classes trying to find internet (?!). Let's just say I would have rather stayed at home for an extra hour getting stuff done since class was cancelled instead of trying to find internet at this university. I need internet to study as I take notes in google docs and have ebooks mostly as they are typically $200 cheaper than hard copy books. My apologizes for a post that is very naggy and negative but today has been a bit of a struggle.

Status update and snapshots from today

Hi everyone! How are you guys doing? I am back in Atlanta alive and well. Jet-lag has been working to my advantage as I have been going to bed early and waking up at a reasonable hour (if I get ten hours to sleep I gladly use them, hehe).

I started school again Monday. So far I am really liking my professors and classes. They are very passionate and most of them have been in the work force and not just always taught. I am happy that I am liking classes so far but wish all of college had been filled with interesting classes rather than pointless ones that were a waste of both time and money. Oh well, nothing to do about that. Glad I actually get to enjoy a semester!

Got my nails done, goodbye tacky Christmas red (although my toes are still red, woups). This lilac color was supposed to have been more grey but I still like it. I get SNS done on top of my own nails!

I have also managed to workout since I got back which I am thrilled about. Today I made a super healthy soup, which is what I am currently eating, with zucchini, broccoli, water, onion, milk, salt, pepper, and bouillon cubes. It tastes delicious so thank you Emma <3

I wore my leather jacket today with a scarf and it was way too hot. Atlanta weather is so confusing but I do not mind the rising temperatures one bit! All of these photos are taken with my phone, hope you guys enjoy a little different kind of post. Happy humpday babes, HUGS.

Self Portrait x 10 and working out.

This post is very personal so please be kind.

I started my day with a workout at Flywheel. It is a cycle studio where they shut off all the lights (except for the ones on the instructor) so the studio is dark. They also measure everything and log it on your profile so you can see it on their app or on your profile online. They have really high music and the workout is intense. It is kind of expensive but Mike was a sweetheart and surprised me with ten classes.

I have been trying to get back into a regular workout routine for quite some time now and it is NOT easy. I workout a couple of times, then I don't again, then I do workout one week, and then I stop, etc. It has been so difficult for me to get back into a steady rhythm. I used to love going to the gym and getting my workout in. It made me feel energized, confident, happy, and empowered. Now, not so much. Now I feel blah about working out. However, I always feel amazing after. I strongly dislike working out alone now that I am so out of shape. I need someone to workout with me or I need to go to a class and have someone telling me what to do. It is easier that way. I feel as if I have lost my discipline and ability to push myself.

I miss being in a good rhythm and routine because I always eat better, and I have more energy throughout my days.  Another thing is, I have been gaining a lot of weight without realizing it. I don't necessarily look like I have gained any weight which is why I have not noticed it. Lately though, A LOT of my clothing does not fit like it supposed to. Not to mention my blazers, suit pants, and jeans. When buying new jeans I have just thought "maybe these run small" although I have just gained weight and needed a bigger size...

My latest wake up call was when my boots from last year would only zip half way up. I was speechless. This happened right before Thanksgiving dinner as I was running out the door. I obviously changed boots but did so confused and sadly. Hopefully these classes will help me get back into somewhat of a rhythm. Once you book a class after 5pm you cannot change your mind without penalty so that is a good incentive. Time to look forward and stop saying "I will start soon" and instead JUST DO IT. Also, now that I have opened up to you guys about this, feel free to remind me how happy I am when I workout. What do you guys do to stay motivated? What workouts do you guys like? Hit me!

Heavy heart

Hi guys. I am sorry for my absence. For starters, my computer charger broke, and therefore my computer has been dead. When you have a 15 inch Macbook Pro you cannot use a regular Macbook charger... A new one finally came in the mail today!

Secondly, I have not yet decided how much I would like to share on the blog with you guys. I want it to be a reflection of my life, and life is not always perfect. But, I still do not feel like it is fair to the people around me if I am private so I will try to keep a fine line with private and personal. It is just very difficult to know where to draw that line, so bear with me.

This weekend my family received horrifying news. Trying to cope and understand the situation is something I cannot even begin to describe. All of my family is currently in Europe together supporting each other while I had to stay put due to school. I also have a wedding to attend this weekend which feels so wrong with everything going on. I feel helpless and I cannot even imagine how everyone else feels. I just wish I could be with my family and support them right now.

I will try to blog as usual for you guys. Remember to tell your loved ones how much you love them, and hug them and extra time, time is precious <3

Current status

Hi friends, sorry for my abstence. This weekend has been filled with work and school. Not the best. Im exhausted which has led to the blog suffering. Today a client decided to tell me several times that I looked tired and terrible (as if that was necessary?!), and that is pretty much a good description of my weekend. On a positive note, I did attend a charity/fundraiser event last night for Leukemia which is near and dear to my heart. It was amazing to see how many people came together to support the fight for this horrible illness. I will show you guys some photos later! Now, time to continue to study for my test. Hugs babes!

Ruff ruff morning

I usually do not mind Mondays but this one has been rough. Last night I made my class schedule so it was ready for registration at opening this morning. Everything was working fine prior to my registration time but when the clock hit nine I was unable to enter the system to sign up for next semesters classes. Eventually I was able to access it from my phone (?!). By that time is was too late because everything was filled already (when you get to higher level classes there is a very limited amount of times and dates to choose from). I have been emailing GSU all morning and they have been of NO help in any way, and I have tried to puzzle together a whole new schedule. I lost track of time and got ready in TEN minutes, must be a record time. I tried to change my annoyed mood into happy and positive by listened to good music as I was driving down to class. It worked well, until I hit insane traffic. Nothing more frustrating than standing still on a highway with no where to go. Two bad accidents so I was very late to class and I am never late. I am thankful I was not in the accident though and now it is time to turn this day around. Excuse the long rant but I had to vent and let some steam off in writing. HAPPY MONDAY HUGS

A huge thank you!

I wanted my first blog post to be a huge, warm, sincere thank you.

A few weeks back I met up with a photographer for coffee I connected with through Instagram. We chatted away for hours until I had to run to work. After my first coffee date with this girl I felt truly inspired and empowered. She was genuinely sweet. She shared her tips and tricks, which you don't see people do often. We had met up originally to talk about a potential shoot but ended up talking about anything and everything but that.

Yesterday we had a shoot planned and it was so fun. It was easy, light, and happy. Once again we got carried away and had a blast, at least I did ;)

Today we met up for coffee. She helped me with all the IT nerdy stuff that I am completely clueless about to get my blog up and running. I cannot say thank you enough for this.

What I want to have said with this post is WOW and THANK YOU. How refreshing it is to meet someone who inspires, motivates, and lifts you up. I often feel like women judge and get jealous of each other instead of empowering one another. What a refreshing feeling it is to feel excited rather than pushed down.

Once again, thank you Christina for all of your help, and for showing me that women can empower each other.
